Hotel Xcaret Mexico 2025 Expansion – What’s New and What You Need to Know

If you’re planning a trip to Hotel Xcaret Mexico, you’ve picked an exciting time. Starting in Summer 2025, the resort is undergoing a major expansion, adding new rooms, dining options, family and teen-focused amenities, and more. Whether you’ve already booked or are still deciding, here’s a detailed look at what’s changing and how it might affect your stay.

How Big Is the Expansion?

Very big. Hotel Xcaret Mexico is adding:

  • 900+ new suites
  • 5 new “Casas” (buildings), each with its own theme and amenities
  • 9 new restaurants
  • 5 new water slides
  • Multiple new pools (bringing the total to 16)
  • A new teen club, kids’ zone, and family entertainment areas
  • An expanded Muluk Spa and new convention center

All of this is expected to open by July 1, 2025 (we are hearing rumors it could be later), and will be part of the existing Hotel Xcaret Mexico resort , not a new, separate hotel.

The 5 New Casas: What They Are and Who They’re For

Each of the new Casas is designed with a specific guest type in mind:

  • Casa Luna – Best for kids ages 0–9. Includes the Xiquit Inn (a mini pretend hotel), Lunateca (a parent-accompanied play area), and a rooftop with bar and kitchen for adults.
  • Casa Vida – Ideal for kids 10–12. Features include Xinema (a 24/7 movie-snack space), La Xentral food court, a coffee shop, and water slides.
  • Casa Sol – Tailored to teens aged 13–17. Offers 3 pools, rooftop areas, a no-alcohol nightclub, and Distrito 1317, a three-level space with wrestling, street art, and interactive fun.
  • Casa Cielo – Designed for multigenerational groups. It will have the most suites, several restaurants, business centers, and the new convention center.
  • Casa Eclipse – Adults-only area with river and garden views, an exclusive rooftop pool, and Arriba Baja, an open-air signature restaurant with a waterfall backdrop.

New Restaurants and Dining Highlights

With the expansion, the total number of restaurants rises to 20. New additions include:

  • Azul Nogada – Traditional Pueblan dishes with buffet and à la carte options.
  • Monarca – Michoacán cuisine with open-air terrace seating.
  • Costero – Veracruz-style seafood served outdoors with live music.
  • La Silla – Nuevo León meats, buffet and à la carte.
  • Tama-Mon – Asian fusion with sushi train, teppanyaki islands, and a dim sum/ramen bar.
  • Xinema – Open 24/7 with movies and snacks.
  • Xupes Nightclub – Open until 4 a.m. with dancing and drinks.
  • Tacos Pava Jarla – Late-night taco stand.
  • Bar Décadas – Family-friendly arcade and bar with pool tables and games.
  • La Paxanguería – A disco for teens with neon lights and DJ contests.
  • Arriba Baja – Adults-only restaurant in Casa Eclipse with jungle and river views.

New Amenities for Kids, Teens, and Families

The 2025 expansion is clearly family-focused. New offerings include:

  • Xiquit Inn – Mini play hotel for kids aged 5–9
  • Lunateca – Exploration area for ages 0–4 (with parent)
  • Distrito 1317 – A 3-level teen space with urban art, interactive tech, and shows
  • La Paxanguería – Teen disco with silent parties, DJs, and 3D mapping
  • Xinema – Open 24/7 with movies and food trucks nearby
  • Water slides – Five new ones near Casa Vida

Spa and Wellness Additions

The Muluk Spa will be expanded to offer:

  • 20 treatment cabins
  • Temazcal (traditional sweat lodge)
  • Hydrotherapy with salts, mud, steam, and sauna
  • A bridal suite
  • Family-friendly treatments for younger guests

New Room Options and Booking Notes

Room categories in the new section mirror the original resort: Garden View, River View, Swim-Up, and Junior Suites. Five new Presidential Suites will accommodate up to six people with two bedrooms.

You can’t guarantee placement in the new section when booking — even if you choose a room type available in both. You can request it, but final room assignments are based on availability.

Guests in the new section will still have full access to the rest of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, and vice versa. There will be a second lobby, and check-in may happen on the bus or at the airport.
